Reid Kilburn

Reid Kilburn
is currently the Senior Vice President Business Engineering
at CGI Group Inc. In this role he has company wide responsibility for
large outsourcing opportunities for the Telecom Sector. Prior to this
appointment Mr. Kilburn was Senior Vice-President Latin America. In this
position he directed the Latin American Business Unit activities
including the establishment of BU market strategies, long-term
objectives, and the operations of all project and long term off shore
offices.
A long-standing member of the BCE family prior to joining CGI, Mr.
Kilburn began his 30-year IT and Telecommunications career with Bell
Canada working in Corporate Systems. Subsequently, he held positions in
the areas of corporate controller, regional operations, corporate
performance, regulatory matters and business/policy development. As a
member of the Bell Canada team, Mr. Kilburn was also heavily involved in
several corporate studies on addressing new competition and business
transformation initiatives. Mr. Kilburn's business experience includes
several management positions involving the creation of new business
units, the creation of competitive response positions and the growth of
new business.
In addition to his wide range of telecommunications managerial
experience with Bell Canada, Mr. Kilburn also has a range of systems
experience that includes development and implementation of small to very
large applications primarily in the financial and customer care and
billing area. In these assignments Mr. Kilburn had roles in planning,
development, support, methodologies and hardware acquisition and
ultimately marketing and sales of some the same solutions.
Mr. Kilburn attended Algonquin College and Concordia University and
recently completed an executive business management program at McGill
University and an executive IT management program at UCLA.
