Bannu Hurtig
is a Professional Engineer in Ontario with a BASc in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a MASc specializing in
Electro-acoustics from the University of Toronto. She is a senior
professional in the Telecommunications Industry with 20+ years of
experience in Marketing, Product Development and Technology Management.
In her most recent role as Director – Consumer Marketing at Bell Canada,
she created a large portfolio worth $100 million in revenue, from the
ground up. This “concept-to-implementation” role required expertise in
creating strategic business plans; developing compelling proposals to
secure operating and project-specific budgets; and finally introducing
products in the marketplace.
Bannu has experience with small, medium and large organizations, having
also worked at Stentor Resource Centre Inc. and Tie Communications, as
well as various Government Departments as a co-op engineering student.
She is recognized for her leadership skills, business acumen and her
ability to deliver results for strategic high priority projects.
